Aroundly Inc. is a Delaware corporation operating the Aroundly platform. a proximity-based professional networking application available at aroundly.co and via our mobile app. References to Aroundly, we, us, or our refer to Aroundly Inc.

2. Information We Collect
Information you provide directly:
- Account details including name, email address, job title, and company when you register
- Profile information including professional interests, availability signals, and bio
- Event information you enter when registering for or hosting an event
- Payment information collected securely by Stripe. Aroundly does not store your full card details
- Communications including messages you send through the app and any correspondence with us
Information we collect automatically:
- Location data collected with your permission to power Near Me and event check-in. We use significant location change updates rather than continuous tracking
- Usage data showing how you interact with the app and which features you use
- Device data including device type, operating system, and app version
3. How We Use Your Information
- To operate the Aroundly platform and provide its features
- To show you relevant professionals nearby and at events based on shared interests
- To generate AI-powered icebreakers and follow-up suggestions
- To provide event hosts with dashboard data and post-event insights
- To process payments for tickets and Premium subscriptions
- To send notifications about connections and event activity
- To improve the platform and develop new features
- To comply with legal obligations
4. Location Data
Location is central to what Aroundly does. Here is how we handle it:
- We only collect your location when you have toggled Active or checked into an event
- We use significant location change APIs. your location updates when you move meaningfully, not continuously
- Your precise location is never shown to other users. We show approximate distance only
- When your session expires or you toggle off, your location is no longer broadcast
- You can revoke location permission at any time in your device settings
5. What Other Users Can See
Before you connect with someone, other users can see your job title and company, availability signal, shared interests, approximate distance, and mutual connections count. Your full name and profile photo are only visible to users you have mutually connected with.
6. Sharing Your Information
We do not sell your personal data. We share information only in these circumstances:
- With other users. as described in Section 5, based on your activity and settings
- With event hosts. when you register, the host receives your name and role tag. They do not receive contact details unless you connect with them
- With service providers. Stripe for payments, AWS for infrastructure, and Firebase for notifications, all under strict data processing agreements
- For legal compliance. if required by law or to protect the safety of our users
7. AI Features and Your Data
Aroundly uses AI to generate icebreakers, follow-up suggestions, and host insights. These use your profile, shared interests, and connection activity. We do not use your private messages to train AI models. Generated messages are suggestions only. you review and send them yourself.
8. Data Retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where required by law. Connection history and event data may be retained in anonymised form for platform analytics.
9. Your Rights
You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data, withdraw location consent at any time, export your data, and opt out of marketing. To exercise any of these rights, email founders@aroundly.co. We will respond within 30 days.
10. Security
We use industry-standard security including encryption in transit and at rest, secure authentication, and regular security reviews. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately at founders@aroundly.co.
11. Children
Aroundly is not intended for users under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If we become aware of this, we will delete it promptly.
12. Changes to This Policy
When we make material changes, we will notify you via email or in-app notification before the changes take effect.
